Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actress who is known for her performance in the films 'Beta'"Saajan," and 'Humaapke Hain Koun'. ..!' She began her career in the 1980s , and became famous for her role in the film 'Tezaab', where she played with veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In the film 'Dil, she appeared with Aamir Khan. She was born in Mumbai by an upper-middle class family. As a child she began to learn dance. When she was a child she tried acting, but failed for a few years. She eventually found success and became one of the leading actors within the Indian film industry. Following her wedding she took a short time off from acting and then returned to the entertainment business. She was also a key part in the film "Gulaab Gang," which focused on the struggles of Indian women. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. She won eight. She also received the Padma Shri (the fourth highest civilian award in India). She is known for her work in the field of social service and also for her charitable work.
