She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on the 9th of July, 1983. Her first job out of school was working in the real estate industry. It was through this that she met her future spouse Tarek El Moussa. The couple was very successful prior to the 2008 stock market crash when many real estate investors and house flippers collapsed. Due to the financial crisis, Tarek and Christina El Moussa nearly lost all their assets. After moving from a house that cost them $6,000 per year to an apartment costing $700, they nearly lost all their possessions. Their businesses and the economy gradually rebounded. HGTV as well as Rise to Fame In 2011 Tarek sought out a partner to help him make an HGTV audition tape which showed the two of them Christina flipping a house from the beginning to the end. Pie Town Productions, a production firm in New York City was the first to receive the tape. The executives fell in love with Tarek and Christina. They officially signed a deal with HGTV in the year 2012. "Flip of Flop" was launched in April 2013. Between 2013 and 2017, the show was a hit for 7 seasons. Christina and Tarek from the show, who were as the main characters, bought properties, which were typically moderate-income houses situated in Orange County. Tarek handles the demolition, remodeling and design. Christina keeps everything running on schedule.
